Sly Lives! Film Screening
Co-Presented with The Reading Room
Sly Lives! is a visually striking portrait of Sly Stone, a reclusive artist navigating fame, memory, and identity. Through vivid visuals and nonlinear storytelling, the film unravels a layered tale of reinvention, blending fact and fiction to explore how legends are created and deconstructed. Directed by Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and featuring interviews with Chaka Khan, Andre 3000, Q-Tip, Nile Rodgers, and George Clinton, among others, this special screening of Sly Lives! is organized in partnership with The Reading Room in celebration of Black Music Month.
