Raveena
Spring Fling 2026
On February 28th, Raveena headlined Spring Fling, our annual outdoor music concert. Presenting a warm mix of R&B, dream-pop, and Indian classical influences, Raveena’s soulful delivery is rooted in both Western and South Asian inspirations. Bringing her genre-blending sound to Rice University, Raveena’s performance followed a lively set by local DJ yorztruly for an evening of music, art, and community. The event started at 7 pm, and the headliner took the stage at 8 pm. Guests enjoyed free entry to the event and the galleries, as well as complimentary drinks +21. Parking was available for $6.
The Guardian called Raveena’s 2022 album Asha’s Awakening “dazzling and eclectic” and urged that “mainstream pop… should clear some room for her.” Far Out Magazine dubbed her latest release, 2024’s Where the Butterflies Go in the Rain, “a melting pot for Raveena’s many sonic influences.” Her mesmerizing vocals, showcased during her NPR Tiny Desk appearance, have garnered more than 4.6 million views.
Performing one night only, Raveena was the latest emerging artist presented in this long-standing free series, following Madison McFerrin, Kaitlin Butts, the Ton Tons, and more.
