"Rafael Lozano-Hemmer: Border Tuner" Book Launch
Hear from the Artist, Editors, and Contributors
On April 21st, guests joined us for a book launch and film screening to celebrate the release of Rafael Lozano-Hemmer: Border Tuner | Sintonizador Fronterizo. Together, the book and 48-minute film document Rafael Lozano-Hemmer’s participatory art installation that created a platform for people to converge along the US-Mexico border and speak to one another across the divide.
Edited by Michael Nardone and Edgar Picazo Merino, and published by Inventory Press, the book includes texts in both English and Spanish that critically examine the legacy of Border Tuner within the wider frame of artistic production along the U.S.-Mexico border.
This event included comments from Rafael Lozano-Hemmer (artist), Kerry Doyle (curator), Edgar Picazo Merino (curator), and Michael Nardone (writer). Books were available on site from Basket Books, pre-orders could be arranged via info@basket-books.com.
