On March 27th, guests celebrated artist Julia Gartrell’s new installation for the Moody’s Platform series presented in collaboration with the Humanities Research Center (HRC) at Rice University. Responding to the HRC's focus on "repair," Gartrell conceived a site-specific sculpture that functions as an interactive repair station equipped with tools, supplies, and visual instructions. Visitors were invited to experience this outdoor sculptural work by bringing their own objects to repair under the guidance of the artist.

Attendees enjoyed refreshments and light bites while engaging in manual activities and multilayered conversations around the theme of “repair” during this open workshop.
