Join the Moody for a fun and engaging evening celebrating Moon Shot, an exhibition of artworks inspired by moon exploration by a selection of innovative artists working from 1969 to the present.

The evening will feature:
• Expert talks by Joseph Campana, Alan Dugald McKillop Professor, Rice University; John A. McCullough Director, JSC Exploration Integration and Science, NASA Johnson Space Center; and John E. Gruener, Astromaterials Research and Exploration Science Division, NASA Johnson Space Center
• “Ask an Astronomer Café” with David Alexander, Director of Rice Space Institute, and Chris Johns-Krull, Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Rice University
• Discovery Dome exploring with Patricia Reiff, Professor, Associate Director of Outreach Program, Rice Space Institute
• A film screening of “A Trip to the Moon” (1902) accompanied by Shepherd School of Music musicians led by Anthony Brandt, Chair, Composition and Theory, The Shepherd School of Music
• A film screening of “Apollo 11” (2019)
• Inprint Poetry Buskers
• Moon gazing through telescopes
• Food trucks
