Take advantage of your last chance to see the spring exhibition and join us to launch the accompanying publication Hayv Kahraman: The Foreign in Us. Edited by Moody curator Frauke V. Josenhans and featuring original writing by the artist, early copies of the catalog will be available for purchase on-site from Basket Books. As a part of the celebration, contributing author Miriam Ticktin, Professor of Anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center, and Josenhans invite attendees on a special tour of the exhibition, starting at 2 p.m. followed by a Q&A.

About the book: edited by curator Frauke V. Josenhans, "Hayv Kahraman: The Foreign in Us" offers insight into the artist's research-based practice through original writing by Kahraman and an essay by Miriam Ticktin, Professor of Anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center with introductions from Josenhans and Moody Executive Director Alison Weaver. Including more than 80 color images of Kahraman's artworks, this expertly designed hardcover is made possible by the Moody Center for the Arts, the Rice University Art Gallery Endowment, Pilar Corrias, London, Jack Shainman Gallery, NY, The Third Line, Dubai, and Vielmetter Los Angeles.
