Join the Moody, the Shepherd School of Music, and the artist to celebrate the opening of Eva LeWitt’s monumental wall-based sculpture created for the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.  

Commissioned by the Moody as part of its innovative Platform series, LeWitt’s large-scale composition of dynamically repeating colorful shapes creates a dramatic visual rhythm that echoes the creative energy of the Shepherd School.  

In addition to hearing from the artist, guests are invited to observe a rehearsal with students from the Shepherd School Chamber Players, who are preparing for a performance on December 5. The rehearsal is located in Stude Concert Hall, directly adjacent to the reception.
