The Makerspace is an interdisciplinary lab designed to support current Rice University students and faculty. Enriching curricular innovation by providing professional-level equipment and workspace for creative projects, the Makerspace welcomes students and faculty from all fields of study and offers opportunities for student employment. The Makerspace includes a wood shop, metal shop, paint booth, rapid prototyping areas, and student workspaces; if you are a current Rice University student or faculty member and would like more information, please contact Robert Purvis, Makerspace Director.

In addition to attending weekly clinics and monthly Makerspace meetups, the Rice students can sign up for any Makerspace workshop, free of charge.
