Mindful Movement Classes with the Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center
Campus Partnership | Free Wellness Series
In collaboration with the Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center, the Moody Center for the Arts offered a series of mindful movement classes in the exhibition galleries, free and open to the Rice Community. Organized in conjunction with the Moody’s summer exhibition Brie Ruais: Movement at the Edge of the Land, these classes focused on the body’s relationship with our natural surroundings. These physical exercises allowed participants to connect with the large-scale ceramic sculptures by Brie Ruais displayed both indoors and outdoors through the practice of breath and movement, pilates, and walking meditation.
These classes were free and open to the Rice Community, and took place at the Moody Center for the Arts. Equipment was available on site. Advance registration is required.
