Creativity at the End of Life
A lecture by Marcia Brennan, Professor of Art History and Religious Studies, Rice University

Professor Marcia Brennan will discuss her work as a literary Artist In Residence in the Department of Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Medicine at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. The talk will include  several clinical stories that demonstrate the ways in which people are capable of creative expression up to, and including, at the very end of life. Just as these moving narratives reflect strong familial, personal, and spiritual histories, so too do they contain wisdom and insight that are meaningful for all of us.

Free + open to the public.
