Live oak grove adjacent to Rice campus entrance one, across from Hermann Park
Organized by Sydney Boyd and sponsored by Rice University's Humanities Research Center's Spatial Humanities Initiative, Rice Public Art will co-present a performance of "Inuksuit," a concert-length work for between 9 and 99 percussionists, by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Luther Adams. Featuring a land art installation by Falon Mihalic designed specifically for the performance at Rice, "Inuksuit" will bring musicians, many from the Shepherd School of Music, and community members together for the ultimate environmental piece. Directed by Doug Perkins and produced by Brandon Bell.
