From the Ground Up: a workshop around the element of earth with Alejandro Chaoul
Campus Partnership | Mindfulness Series
Join the Moody and Alejandro Chaoul, PhD, Huffington Foundation Endowed Director of the Mind Body Spirit Institute at the Jung Center of Houston, for a special workshop around meditation. Organized in conjunction with the Moody's summer exhibition Brie Ruais: Movement at the Edge of the Land, the three sessions will focus on different aspects that echo the large-scale ceramic sculptures by Brie Ruais, displayed inside the Moody and in the grounds outdoors, connecting the architecture with the natural environment.
Over the course of the workshop, participants will acquire tools to create balance within by grounding down, connecting to the earth, letting go of any negative energy, thoughts or emotions.
The sessions will take place inside the Moody’s exhibition galleries, next to the ceramic sculptures by Brie Ruais. Blankets will be provided or participants can bring their own yoga mat or blanket.
