From 2 pm to 5 pm, enjoy an afternoon of treats, hands-on activities, and a special screening of the film, Yarn. Schedule below. 

Hands-On Activities

2 pm - 4:45 pm | Flex Space

Led by the Contemporary Handweavers of Houston and the Quilt Guild of Greater Houston, guests will be able to:

• Weave a bookmark or bracelet 
• Create a greeting card with fabric
• Learn about the process of weaving, spinning, and quilting 
• Special demonstrations on a loom and spinning wheel

A Screening of Yarn (2016)

2 pm and 3:30 pm | Lois Chiles Studio Theater

A screening of Yarn (2016), a colorful documentary directed by the Icelandic filmmaker Una Lorenzen featuring the vibrant range of fiber-based practices as seen through the lens of artists, designers, and performers.
