Event and Visitor Services Manager

Join an exciting arts organization and the Rice community! The Event and Visitor Services Manager works with students, community members, and a wide variety of organizations and businesses to ensure an exceptional experience at the Moody Center for the Arts.

 

The event and visitor services manager is responsible for the successful planning and execution of rental events at the Moody Center for the Arts, including meeting with the organization requesting space usage, maintaining communication throughout the planning process, coordinating catering and janitorial needs, and ensuring all university safety standards are upheld. Additionally, the position is responsible for the daily opening and closing procedures of the Moody Center's exhibition spaces and should create a welcoming and professional visitor environment. Candidates must be willing to accept a Tuesday - Saturday schedule to accommodate the Moody Center's public hours.  Further, the position serves as an advocate for Moody resources, programs, and services.  The position is responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling and retention of the student Gallery Guide program. The position is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling, supervision, training, and management of all volunteer and paid greeters at the Moody Center.
